Hearthwild / Privacy
YOUR ACCOUNT.
YOUR INFORMATION.
This page describes how the official Hearthwild website and its account services use information when you sign up, download the launcher, or manage game access.
Your Hearthwild account.
We collect your username, email address, and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes, rather than readable passwords. Your email is used for account verification, password recovery, and essential account messages.
We store your game access and code redemptions so the website and launcher can recognize what your account owns. Administrator actions, including code creation and access grants, are recorded in an activity log.
Signing in and staying signed in.
The website uses necessary session cookies to keep you signed in and protect account operations. These are not advertising cookies. Account services may process IP addresses, browser details, and request timestamps to help protect against abuse and unauthorized access.
The launcher stores its session securely on your Windows device so you do not have to enter your password every time. A temporary ownership authorization allows offline play for up to seven days after a successful online check.
Two-step verification.
Administrator accounts use authenticator-based verification. If you enable it, account services store the information needed to validate authentication and recovery codes. Keep your authenticator setup key and recovery codes private.
Hosting and account emails.
Cloudflare delivers the website, account services, and game downloads. In doing so, it processes connection information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, and browser details. Our email delivery service processes your email address and account messages to deliver verification and password-reset links.
Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its services.
Browsing the website.
The website does not include advertising or marketing trackers. Fonts and website images are served with the site. The news section requests published release information. A local browser platform check explains whether the Windows launcher can run on your device; it is not sent to a separate analytics service.
Managing your information.
You can view your account details, update your password, and sign out through the Account tab. Changing your password signs out other active sessions. Keep your email address accessible so you can verify your account and recover access if needed.
Account and access records are retained while needed to provide your account, recognize your game ownership, and protect the service.
